WHAT ARE TEETH VENEERS?

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth. They are an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity and versatility.

As a cosmetic dental procedure, dental veneers have the ability to create a brighter, whiter smile by changing the shape and color of most teeth.

A trial smile design is always done prior to your treatment using specific dental software that allows Dr. Schlam and her technician to map out ideal shape and proportions. This is then done in your mouth in a temporary version before you receive your final veneers so you can try out your new smile.

With proper care, porcelain veneers have the ability to brighten your smile for well over a decade.

Dr. Schlam will ensure that your veneers are crafted from the highest quality ceramics and are bonded with the most advanced and proven materials available.

Refraining from using your veneers as tools to open and cut things will prolong their life and if accidental breakage or damage occurs. If you are prone to clench or grind your teeth and have previously worn down your enamel, the new veneers are subject to this same stress if you have not addressed that problem. A night time appliance is a good way to prevent nocturnal wear and tear, however it is important that Dr. Schlam evaluates all of your dental health conditions to ensure you are a candidate for successful veneers that can last.
